The Dude Wins
I know, I know... It wasn't for his role as a drunken bowler named Jeff... But a drunken country singer is just as good. Can't wait to see this one.

Watch the real Jeff take some questions from the press corp after winning a Golden Globe. He is the Dude, through and through.
In talking to an employee of the movie theater, I found out that smaller films - you know, the ones we like - don't usually get to come to Mason City unless they get nominated for an Oscar. Many movies that do make the nomination list, get to DVD before they get played on the big screen right here in River City. Way to expand our horizons CEC.
So in the event the suits at CEC decide to play Crazy Heart or A Serious Man on the "bigger than my bedroom tv" screen, plan on a NIBU Ride and Watch Night.
BTW - the results from Wednesday's Roller Derby race will be posted later today. Sorry for the delay. I was in Kansas City having some rhinoplasty work done. But don't worry, the drugs have worn off, and I am ready to write!

Here here....It's civil cycle disobedience time on MLK day.
I think "Crazy Heart" just might make it, but I thought "A Serious Man" would as well. Could dig deep into the Roller Derby coffers and buy the cineplex for a weekend of cycle marathons. "The Bicycle Thief" Tripletts of Belleville"
Former KSB production of NIMBA riding,
"Pedal" Oh and lets not forget that brilliant opening scene in that family flick"Gummo."
I guess NIBU was represented at "Burn After Reading " in a sort of (
Before we were famous) sort of way.)Plus there was a single viewer of "Where the Wild Things Are" on a Tuesday in October who was dressed in messenger garb and wool with a bike parked outside. Let's work on the numbers boys and girls.
