Three races, three different winners.  This past weeks race was full of intrigue, suspense, and some out of town heavies.  Crit master Clark Priebe came up from Souix City, his little brother Craig came over from Forest City, and Blog/Big Dummy Master Joe from Osage made the trek over (finally).  

In the end it was the NIBU Veteran Ben F. who stole the stole the show in the final, just pipping last rounds champion Ruben W.  Ben has been fighting each week for his placing, and with each week, has gotten faster.

Ruben W. advanced to the semi-final by putting in the race of the night.  Riding the RIGHT bike, his foot slipped out of the peddle strap, and had to fight to try to get remounted on the crank at high RPM.  At one point, Ruben was spinning with only one foot as he tried to get reset.  The whole time Osage Joe spinning his guts out on the LEFT bike.  He got a lead when Ruben slipped off, but the young single speeder was too much for Joe as he powered his way to the win.  

The semi-final between Ruben and Jon H. was a rematch of last races championship race.  Luck just so had it that they would have to face each other again in the bracket.

Ben F. worked his way through the rounds and found himself stacked up against Ruben for all the marbles.  The final race of the night didn't disappoint anyone.  It came down to the final 10 meters with Professor Ben handing the youngster his first defeat.  

Jon H. has stayed upon the top of the point series with consistency.  He holds a 3 point lead over Ruben, and hard charging Ben is right behind in third place four points out of first.  The fourth round could give us yet another winner, and possibly a new point series leader.  The pressure is on Jon as he works to get his first win of the series.
