Now I have looked at the calendar…  I know that Wednesday is tomorrow.  I also know that it is the second Wednesday of the month.  But what I can't seem to get my mind around, is it is supposed to be mild weather!  I mean, like…  Unseasonably warm weather.  

That totally flies in the face of our Roller Derby past.  Our history.  Our roots.  What makes us what we are.  Blizzards are a part of the Derby.  The thought to cancel the event due to good weather, and try to reschedule on a blizzard night did cross my mind.  But, I didn't that was the fair thing to do to poor Nine Mile Skid Joe.  The dude has been stranded in Osage every Wednesday since this thing began.

I am, however, expecting a blizzard of some sort Wednesday night.  A blizzard of spinning feet.  A blizzard of poor souls turning themselves inside out for the dream of being the NIGHT CHAMPION.  We have had two races thus far, and two winners.  Derek G. took the inaugural night, and youngster Ruben W. took the second night.

For this coming race, we have a surprise for you.  A ringer is in town.  The master.  Clark Priebe will put hat in the ring and try his darndest to best the local fair.

So kiddies.  It all kicks off at Lorado's on the Plaza.  Registration begins at 7:16, with racing to start at 8:02pm.  Bring your cowbells, your lungs, YOUR FRIENDS, and your balls.  Race till ya puke!

Wednesday is all the due date for orders for the new NIBU kits.  Bring a check book.  Be ready to order the coolest kits known to man.
