ROAD TRIP!
Imagine the cliff jumping freedom of Thelma and Louise, the hyjinks of borrowing Fred Dorfman's black Lincoln to pick up Fawn Liebowitz and three of her friends, the melodic beauty of Tommy and Richard singing "Eres Tu", and mix in the Griswolds jumping the Family Truckster 100 yards through a road closed sign.
Now it's our turn.
NIBU is taking our show on the road. We are planning a red-eye, break neck timing, trip to Mecca of indoor mountain biking. Ray's Mountain Bike Indoor Park in Cleveland, OH is our destination. A 103,000 square foot warhorse built to celebrate the bike.
This is a somewhat tentative trip, as we are looking to see how many are interested in going before we say "YUP - WE ARE GOIN". Our plan, is to leave Mason City in the early evening on Friday, Feb 5th. Drive as far as our sleep deprived bodies will take us, stop if needed, and arrive at Rays ready to ride. Rays is open 9am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The two day pass is $37 per rider. We are planning to ride through Sunday Feb 7th, and leave Cleveland in the early evening on Sunday, and trek our way home. It will leave you a little weary, but we plan to be back in Mason City in time for you all to get to work. We will solicit drivers with dependable vehicles to help transport riders. Again, fuel costs will be divided among the riders.

This will be a caravan trip of sorts. If enough people are interested, we will bring a trailer and place bikes in that. Cost of the fuel for the trailer hauler will be split evenly up between all individuals, and a hotel room cost will be split up also.

North Shore in a box
We are calling this the flex plan, as we will tailer our trip depending on the number of people interested in partaking. Any rider under the age of 18 will have to have a RAYS waiver signed by a parent. If the parent travels along, no big deal, but if the parent isn't able to come along, will need to have the waiver signed by a notary. No waiver - no ride.

Wanna race?
So are you interested? Email me at eric@nibu.info and let me know that you are interested, and we will start working on details to see if we can pull this off. We will make a decision in two weeks - and make plans on that.
Get our your knee pads, your BMX and MTB and come along.

That's the weekend of the BRR, otherwise I'd be up for it.

I was denied vacation for that weekend, which makes commitment quite impossible. I then went on a gravel grinder and broke my right collarbone in the process. The ride yesterday was great!
