For this Wednesday's race night, NIBU is going to up the ante.  Feeling like the cycling version of St. Nick, we are going to offer some cool little prizes for three contests inside of the Roller Derby.

We are forgoing the idea of holding a "Race Back Bracket", and just go with qualifying, and single elimination bracket style "Last Cyclist Standing" - to save time.

With the Holiday flair, we want to reward any creative individuals who are feeling festive enough to come in their favorite xmas cheer.  After qualifying and the first round of racing, we will hold a costume contest - with the winner being voted on by the crowd attending.  Anyone who came in a costume, and rode the qualifying round and first round in their costume, will be eligible for the contest.  The winner will receive a new Continental GP Attack 700x22 tyre.

Now, that's not all.  To ensure that people are letting it all hang out during qualifying, we will have ANOTHER contest.  The fastest qualifier for the night will also receive a new Continental GP Attack tyre.  

So, come in costume, be the fastest stud on your qualifying race AND win the BEST DRESSED contest - and boom.  Your bike has new rubber, front and back.

What, Another contest?  Are you kidding me?  We must have rubber coming out of our ears.  We will have a break between qualifying and the first round to give people a chance to catch their breath.  Let's say you feel like you have a little more fast twitch muscle response than most, and can put out a massive burst of energy for a few meters, but can't endure the whole 500 meters.  We have a contest for you.  

Introducing the Christmas Eve Eve Yellow Snow Sprint Challenge.  Anyone wanting to take their chance for the highest KPH sprint can step up, straddle a steed, and give it a whir.  We will reset the bike computer, and give you one chance to put in your highest KPM sprint.  Go any distance you want (10 minute limit) to see who has the highest output.  We will set the computer to MAX SPEED, and see what you get.  Highest MAX SPEED will win a new Michelin Yellow Stripe Carbon 700x23 tyre.

Keep in mind that this little burst of speed could hinder your chances at fame during round one, but can you really put a price on a free rubber?
